Karin Herzog creams with Oxygen are skin care creams that are quickly absorbed to normalize your skin type. However, biology needs time to adapt.

During this period (around 1½ to 2 months), for the comfort of your skin we recommend applying a Karin Herzog comfort cream, Night, Day or Vitamin H over your skin care cream, this will provide your skin with all the comfort and elasticity it needs.

This is perfectly normal, what you feel is the pressure developed by the action of the Oxygen, as it changes from liquid to gaseous form. The higher the percentage of oxygen (maximum 4% for the KH body product Silhouette), the more it is likely to sting.

What is more, if your skin lacks oxygen it will absorb more quickly this essential element supplied by Karin Herzog creams.

After some months of daily use of KH products with Oxygen, the Oxygen levels in your skin are rebalanced, and this stinging sensation gradually disappears.

A tip – if you are using the Silhouette cream and experiencing quite a lot of stinging, slightly moistening the skin before applying the cream will help reduce this sensation!

Karin Herzog creams with Oxygen (and particularly Oxygen Face) will quickly normalize this condition. However, Oxygen has a really active purifying effect and when you start to use the product, it is possible that your skin will experience even more problems during the first week or so.

Don’t panic! This is quite right and normal, the Oxygen quickly eliminates all toxins and latent minor infections.

Above all, do not stop using the Oxygen cream, it needs time to finish its work. You can help eliminate impurities by regular use of Mild Scrub by Karin Herzog. A guarantee of healthier, purified, superb skin!

Don’t mix Karin Herzog creams with other brands, the Oxygen may cause some ingredients (preservatives for example) to penetrate deeper than they are designed to, thus causing unwanted reactions.

Our recommendation – if you wish to continue using your usual cleansing milk and lotion, rinse your skin with pure water before applying a Karin Herzog cream with Oxygen.

Yes. It is virtually impossible for bacteria to survive in oxygen and that is why, when a spot appears on the surface of the skin, the oxygen in the air kills it. By putting oxygen into the skin we first detox, then control/destroy/prevent future breakouts.

By the time we get to 24 years old the activity/oxygen in the skin slows down. Collagen production diminishes as the skin loses its energy and essential raw materials. By putting these back into the skin we ensure an increase in collagen production. To build up this process the skin will need more water and vitamin A whilst the production levels rise.

As a dry/mature/dehydrated skin has less intercellular fluid than a younger/oilier skin, the effect can result in drier skin temporarily. I stress however, that this is temporary (approximately up to 6-7 weeks). Once the collagen production process is built up, the fluid intake subsided and the skin balances out. To help prevent this happening always tell dry/mature/dehydrated clients to use the Facial Oil underneath the Vita-A-Kombi.

If dryness occurs try the Fruit Acids Cream before the Facial Oil, and/or Vitamin H Cream on top of the Vita-A-Kombi, both will be beneficial to the skin in there own right. Alternatively in the evening you could use the Additional Night Cream to give the skin extra comfort.

There is no clinical or medical evidence to support that Liquid Paraffin is harmful to the skin. In fact, we have been putting it on baby’s bottoms for years. Liquid Paraffin has the major benefit of binding a product together and eliminating the need to add lots of preservatives. Some preservatives have been clinically diagnosed as harmful to the skin and many have allergic tendencies. Liquid Paraffin is therefore better than preservatives and actually helps to soften and nourish the skin.

In our Professional Cleansing Cream it is the Liquid Paraffin and Sesame Oil combined that means we have one of the few cleansers on the market that is preservative free.

The action and power of the liquid oxygen in Hydrogen Peroxide converting to oxygen gas on contact with catalyse is what can slowly lighten human hair. This same power/energy however, is what will detox and stimulate all the skins natural processes and functions.

In our creams we use only a tiny amount of concentrated Hydrogen Peroxide. Not enough to bleach eyebrows and hair instantly, but enough to transform the condition of anyone’s skin. As Hydrogen Peroxide is a common substance found in ALL humans (especially in the gut), it is not too harsh for even the finest and most delicate of skins. Because slowly, over several continued applications, the energy generated by the oxygen conversion to gas from liquid, will begin to lighten the natural colour of hair.

Treat the face as a whole, not just the pigmented areas, as the oxygen will alter the tone of the entire complexion. Always use Vita-A-Kombi Oil underneath Vita-A Kombi 2 for skins with hyper-pigmentation.

Acid vitamin A (retinoic Acid) will thin the skin, as it is acidic when applying to the epidermis. In our products the vitamin A is a buffered, neutralized vitamin A that only becomes acid when the oxygen converts to gas from liquid. The change to acid from neutral vitamin A takes place underneath the epidermis and so doesn’t thin, burn or make the skin photosensitive. The oxygen and vitamin A formulas from Karin Herzog are in fact essential for the skin that is exposed to sunlight because of the water content provided to the dermis and the repairing and energy properties of the oxygen.

The force of the oxygen converting to gas from liquid upon contact with human skin, will throw the oxygen deep into the tissues. If you have maximum contact with the hands, much of the cream will penetrate the palms instead of the face. These creams are advanced and will penetrate on their own. The best method of application is to dab the cream in dots around the face using the spatula provided, then quickly join the dots with the fingers and leave to absorb.

Because our products go into the skin and work from within, you can apply make up provided you have allowed all the oxygen formula to be absorbed by the skin. It is however, true that any foundation will block the pores and is not good for the skin on a regular basis. It is far better to use the Karin Herzog Egyptian Earth Face Powders that are totally natural. With no preservatives, these powders let the skin breath and have longer lasting ‘staying-power’ than most foundations. Many regular Herzog users find that the effect of the oxygen on the tone of the skin means that they not need a heavy foundation. These powders give a beautiful warm natural glow to the skin.

Because self-tans are active for a while on the skin and because Herzog’s oxygen products penetrates the skin, there are rules to be applied; but the 2 work very well together. The hydration from the oxygen helps get a better result from your self-tan.

Rules: Apply Herzog in the normal way - wait 30 minutes - 1 hour before applying self-tan. Apply Herzog again for 2nd application of the day but ensure that it is at least 6 hours after applying your self-tan.

The more you need oxygen, the quicker it penetrates. If the skin is wounded or broken, the cream will absorb rapidly. If the damage is deeper down underneath the epidermis, it will again absorb rapidly. On a smoker, or more mature/undernourished skin, the cream will absorb rapidly. The use of the Vita-A-Kombi Oil underneath the oxygen formula will slow down the absorption of the cream.

Maximum absorption rate is 2-3 minutes. If it takes longer than this to penetrate you are using too much cream. Only use enough cream to resemble the size of a garden pea for the face and a little more for the neck.
